CDC Agency Study

It is important to be able to â€‹go into an organization to assess the strengths within as well as make recommendations for improvement. These recommendations help to push forward the mission and goals of the organization.

For this assignment, I was to study an Administrative Agency to identify the key management issues facing the organization, assess the structure and culture of the agency, and make recommendations for change.

I chose the CDC as they are one of the most relevant agencies especially dealing with COVID-19 and maneuvering through several internal and external challenges.

Hospital Stabilization

Leaders will also have to manage their departments or their organization through difficult times. â€‹

This course took us through how to manage a hospital in general, however for our final assignment, we were tasked with responding to the COVID-19 crisis as a CEO of a large urban hospital. The scenario given to us was that Federal and State funding decreased by 25% and our hospital's primary source of income were Medicaid patients.

In this paper, I discussed how I would bring stability back to the hospital while not sacrificing needed services.
