The Rutgers, State University of New Jersey Master of Public Administration (MPA) program has been accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA), a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., that sets standards for public affairs schools worldwide since 1989.

NASPAA accreditation "recognizes that a master's program in public affairs has gone through a rigorous process of voluntary peer review conducted by the Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation (COPRA) and has met NASPAA's Standards for Professional Master's Degree Program in Public Affairs, Policy and Administration."
