The fifth core competency set by NASPAA is to communicate and interact productively and in culturally responsive ways with a diverse and changing workforce and society at large. This involves the ability to understand the needs and values of communities and respecting and interacting with diverse individuals and groups of the public.

PROJECT 1
Public administrators must be able to utilize positive and responsive ways to communicate with a diverse workforce. I believe an ethical approach should also be considered.

This course examined the ethical dimensions of public servants and identified the key factors essential for ethical leadership.
​
For this paper, I interviewed two leaders who were faced with ethical dilemmas and chose to communicate and operate with integrity.

In order to communicate an idea or policy effectively, it is necessary to have data, research and statistical backing.​

This course exposed students to issues central to understanding and applying research-based evidence to public affairs and administration.

This final paper involved a comparison of two published studies on the topic to look at the methodology used and explored findings using concepts learned.
